Q: What is the procedure of getting visa for coming to India/ University?
For coming to India for higher education, you require a student visa. You need to produce confirmed letter of admission from MBU to the Indian Diplomatic Mission in your country for obtaining the student visa.
Q: Can I get student visa directly from Indian Missions abroad?
Yes, provided you have a confirmed letter of admission into a specific course, in our university.
Q: Can I get my tourist visa converted to student visa?
Change of purpose of visit to international student to India is not allowed once they arrive in India. Therefore, if you come to India on tourist or any other visa you cannot get this visa changed to student visa. According to government regulations, if an international student coming to India on tourist visa or any other visa (except a student visa), obtains admission in the university the student will be required to return to his/her country and obtain a new visa (i.e. student visa ) from the Indian mission there.
Q: Are there any rules and regulations that I need to conform to?
Yes, while applying for the visa you need to keep in mind the following regulations: passport valid for min. six months beyond the date of intended departure from India should accompany your visa application. Student holding other nationalities (other than the country applying for the visa from), should submit proof of long term (at least three yrs)/ permanent residence in the country (where applying).
Q: Do I need to give GRE, GAMT, TOEFL, IELTS or any other test?
No, Our University does not insist for the above. However, since the academic programs are taught in English, proficiency in English is a must. You should have studied for qualifying examination in English or English should have been one of the subjects.
Q: What options of accommodation can I have during my Study?
Our University provides hostel accommodation for international students. However, students who wish to stay outside can do soon a prior permission basis.
